Diwali Memories Shawl

Reminiscing about Diwali celebrations with friends last year and finding light and comfort in the winter months.

This shawl is made with lots of different colours and textures. It has a wool warp, and is made from hand spun wool and other soft fibres. Including Merino, Blue Face Leicester, Romney and Shetland sheep, as well as little sections of sari silk and more. I started weaving this at Faversham Makers Market on the first week of November. Winter is fast approaching and I am enjoying all those sparks of colour, from lanterns, fireworks and more.
